Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic scroll compressor capable of reducing the oil circulation ratio by deterring the rolling-up of the oil discharged from a journal bearing part by the rotation of the balance weight while improving the efficiency by reducing the slide loss in the journal bearing part.SOLUTION: A hermetic scroll compressor 1 comprises: a scroll compression mechanism 7 supported within a closed vessel 2 via a bearing member 6; a drive shaft 11 journaled on the bearing member 6 and having a motor 8 directly connected to the drive shaft 11; and a circular arc balance weight 34 provided along the outer periphery of the edge face of a rotor 10 on the side facing the bearing member 6, in which the axial length L of a journal bearing part 6A, which journals the drive shaft 11 of the bearing member 6, is 0.8 to 1.6 times of the bearing diameter D; and a flange part 34A, which is raised in an axial direction from an outer peripheral part of the balance weight 34, provided on the outer peripheral side of an extension part 6B in an axial direction of the journal bearing part 6A to overlap with the extension part 6B.
