PURPOSE: To provide a new heterocyclic acid which has an antagonistic activity against thromboxan and a thromboxansyntase-inhibiting activity and is useful for curing ischemic heart diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, peripheral vessel diseases, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I, e.g. 4(Z)-6-[(2,4,5-cis)-2-(1-(4-methyl-2- nitrophenoxy)-1-methylethyl-4-(5-thiazolyl)-1,3-dioxan-5-yl]hexenoic acid is obtained by allowing a diol derivative of formula II (one of T1, T2 is H and the other is H, -CRaRb.OH; Ra, Rb are each a 1-4C alkyl) and an aldehyde derivative of the formula; R1.CHO to react with each other. In the formula I, (n) is 1 or 2; Y is methyleneoxy, vinylene, ethylene; A1 is a 1-6C alkylene; R1 is R2, a group of A2- (R2 is a 1-6C alkyl, 1-6C alkoxy, etc.; A2 is a group of -W-C(R4)(R5)-; W is O, methylene, etc.; R4, R5 are each a 1-4C alkyl); Q is thiazol-5-yl, imidazol-5-yl, etc.
