Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the high-efficiency usage of transmission cable by providing a computer circuit network for high-speed data communication equipped with a data transmission cable having one root node and one branch node at least. SOLUTION: A fiber node 109 is connected through coaxial cables 111a and 111b to various subscriber positions. The fiber 109 has a mechanism for performing conversion between optical signal and electric signal. The communication between a router 117 and a signal conversion system SCS is digital type. However, the communication between a head end 103 and the subscriber positions is analog type. This SCS 101 performs the conversion between a digital communication signal with the router 117 and an analog communication signal generated on the optical fiber and coaxial cable of cable TV system. Each client station 105 is provided with a cable MODEM 113 connected to a computer 115. Thus, the data transmission cable having one root node and one branch node is provided and the high-speed data transmission cable is provided.
