Abstract:
To provide a lubricant for high-temperature plastic working which is excellent in lubricity at 500°C or higher and hardly emits smoke or an odor; and a high-temperature plastic working method using the same.
The lubricant contains (A) at least one water-soluble salt selected from the group consisting of water-soluble salts of maleic acid copolymers or their partial esters and water-soluble salts of acrylic acid copolymers or their partial esters, (B) a solid lubricant, (C) a surfactant, and (D) water. The high-temperature plastic working method uses this lubricant.
