Title:
HIGH-TENACITY WOVEN FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08246289
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a high-tenacity woven fabric suitable as a substrate for an air back having heat stability, by weaving a specific polyethylene terephthalate yarn as warp and weft.

CONSTITUTION: Semidull chips of a polyethylene terephthalate having 0.70-0.78 intrinsic viscosity are subjected to melt spinning and drawn to form a polyester multifilament yarn of 400dl/96f having 7-7.8g/dl tensile strength of single yarn, ≥20% tensile elongation and 4-1% dry heat shrinkage percentage at 180°C and 11 entangle number. The multifilament yarn is used as warp and weft to weave a lip stop woven fabric. The woven fabric has ≥250/3cm tensile strength, ≥10kg tear strength, ≤4% dry heat shrinkage percentage at 180°C and ≤0.5cc/cm2/second Frazier air permeability.
