Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device which can be applied to any of doors, irrespective of a direction of opening and closing of a door, and of a steady- state condition, and which can automatically return the door which has been opened or closed, to an original position.
SOLUTION: A hinge device 6 couples a door member 4 to a support 2 defining therein an opening 3 so as to be openable and closable, and automatically return an opened or closed door 4 to an original open and closed position. This arrangement is composed of a stationary member 21 secured to the support 2, a movable member 31 attached to the door member 4 so as to be rotatable together with the door member 4, a shaft member 30 supported by the movable member 31 and attached to the stationary member 21 so as to be movable, relative to the movable member 31, and means for returning the rotated shaft member 30 from an original position before the rotation, the direction of the shaft member 30 is attached to the stationary member 21 so that its direction can be changed freely in the turning direction.
