Title:
HIV-1-SPECIFIC RNA INTERFERENCE MOLECULE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008306962
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an RNA interference molecule having low off-target effects and exhibiting effective RNA interfering actions on HIV-1 (human immunodeficiency virus-1) which is a highly diverse virus.

All the partial sequences of 21 bases are formed on the basis of 495 kinds of genomic sequences of HIV-1 group M, and RNA interference molecules satisfying design conditions are selected according to an siRNA (small-interfering RNA) design guideline by Ui-Tei et al. to study the siRNA target cleavage assay and proliferation inhibitory effects on the HIV-1. Thereby, an effective RNA interference molecule can be constructed by using a preservation region at the maximum level as the target for the HIV-1.
