PURPOSE: To hold an article having a lateral size ranging from 6 to 18 mm in such a manner that its axial displacement or displacement in a lateral direction may be prevented and further perform a positive holding of an article such as a high quality pen which is easily damaged.

CONSTITUTION: A holder 200 for use in holding at least one elongated article is comprised of clamp members 251, 252 and 253 and a resilient film tensioned over the clamp sections. In the case that no article is placed on the clamp members 251, 252 and 253, its film is spaced apart from the clamp members 251, 252 and 253 so as to show a high tensioned outer appearance. In order to install the article in the holder, the film is pushed into the clamp members 251, 252 and 253.
