To provide a holding device with extremely excellent practicality capable of being miniaturized, while improving connecting force of a base member and a tool holder.
This holding device connects a spindle 1 of a machine tool and a tool holder 2 fitted to the spindle 1. The holding device has a claw member 3 for holding the tool holder 2, a locking mechanism for spreading the claw member 3 and locking the claw member 3 on the tool holder 2, a holding mechanism for holding the tool holder 2 by the claw member 3 by drawing the claw member 3 locked on the tool holder 2, and an interlocking operation mechanism for interlocking and operating the locking mechanism and the holding mechanism. The interlocking operation mechanism is constituted of an eccentric cam 13. By rotating the eccentric cam 13, the locking mechanism is operated. By further rotating the eccentric cam 13, the holding mechanism is operated.
