Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3689150
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding tool for grinding and polishing an optical element having an increased life without the occurrence of astigmation and a curl.
SOLUTION: A holding tool 1 for grinding and polishing an optical element to hold an optical element 6 to be ground and polished comprises a sheet-form resilient substance 5 with which the optical element support surface 6a of the optical element 6 is brought into contact; a cylindrical base member 2 which rotatably supports the resilient substance 5 and in which the optical element 6 is fitted; and a plurality of balls 4 located between the resilient substance 5 and the base member 2. The resilient substance 5 and the optical element 6 making contact with the resilient substance 5 are integrally rotated.
