The edge of blades 37a, 37b and 37c are formed in the portions of the intermediate materials 31a, 31b and 31c corresponding to positions in which the roller-shaped upper die 3 and lower die 4 are engaged with each other. Edge portions of long holes 7a, 7b and 7c are formed by shearing force produced between the edge of the blades 37a, 37b and 37c, and the roller cutters 18a, 18b and 18c. Consequently, flat plate-shaped chips 25 are separated from thin plate material 2.
