Abstract:
PURPOSE:To withstand large torsional torque as well as to heighten the extent of abrasion resistance, by forming a hollow cam piece into two layers of an inner layer consisting of a high strength material and an outer layer consisting of a super-hardness material. CONSTITUTION:In an outer layer 16 of a cam piece 15, there is provided with the specified cam surface 16A on the outer circumference, while an ovoid hollow hole 16B is formed on the inner circumference. An inner layer 17 is formed into a covered form having the specified thickness along this hollow hole 16B. The figure 3 is a hollow shaft. And, as for the inner layer 17, a high strength material is selected, while a super-hardness material (antifriction material) is selected for the outer layer 16. Doing like this, large bulging pressure acts on this inner layer of the cam piece at the time of machining, but the high strength material is adopted for this inner layer so that it can withstand this pressure to the full. In addition, since the outer layer is composed of the super- hardness material so that is enjoys excellent abrasion resistance.
