Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve abrasion resistance and antiseizure properties, by forming one side of teeth of a warm wheel or a worm with copper as a main body and the other with steel, respectively. CONSTITUTION:Teeth of a warm 1 are engaged with that of a worm wheel 2, constituting a speed reducer. A wheel boss part 3 is attached to the wheel tooth part 2, and furthermore a wheel shaft part 6 is attached to the teeth 2. When composition of the worm wheel comprises 4-12wt% of aluminum. 1-10% of iron silicide, 0.1-1wt% of solid soluble silicon and 1-7wt% of nickel and the rest is set down to copper as well as composition of the worm is set down to SCM 415, the worm wheel becomes very little in an abrasion loss as compared the other conventional worm wheel. In addition, antiseizure properties also are well improved.
