PURPOSE: To facilitate the handling of the fiber bundles of a hollow fiber membrane module, to reduce the generation of inferiority in a bonding process and to enable the execution of the inspection of function in a manufacturing midway process to suppress percent deffective in the production of a large-sized hollow fiber membrane module.

CONSTITUTION: A net is packed with hollow fiber membrane bundles and at least one end part thereof is sealed by a sealant to form a hollow fiber membrane unit 5 having a diameter smaller than the inner diameter of a housing case 21 and a plurality of the hollow fiber membrane units 5 are bundled to be packed into the housing case 21 and the gaps of the seal end 4 of each of the hollow fiber membrane units positioned at the seal part 22 are sealed by a sealant.
