Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow member made of a reinforcement metal having a reinforcement fiber at a high ratio in the space to be reinforced at the inside of a metallic hollow member, and a reinforcement method with a fiber-reinforced plastic at the inside face of a metallic hollow member.SOLUTION: Provided is a hollow member 1 made of a reinforcement metal comprising: (i) one or more continuous fiber-reinforced plastic wire rods 4; (ii) a plurality of continuous second reinforcement fibers f2 mixed with the fiber-reinforced plastic wire rod(s); and (iii) a fiber-reinforced plastic reinforcement body 3 impregnated into the second reinforcement fibers f2 and including an adhesive resin R2 hardened by adhering the fiber-reinforced plastic wire rods 4 and the second reinforcement fibers f2. The fiber-reinforced plastic reinforcement body 3 is integrally adhered to the inside face of a metallic hollow member with an adhesive resin R2.
