Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear reduction device of a perpendicular shaft type which can accurately provide countermeasure against safe in fluctuation of intensity of load.
SOLUTION: A gear reduction device 100 has, as a first step reduction gear, an oscillating reduction gear l provided with an eccentric body shaft 12 on one side of an input axis LN as an input part and a low speed shaft 19 on the other side as an output part. The device 100 also has, as a second step reduction gear, a helical gear set 2 which converts output of the oscillating reduction gear 1 to output rotation around an output axis LS parallel to the input axis LN. A hollow shaft 24 is used as an output member of the helical gear set 2. In addition, a mechanical torque limiter 5 which is actuated when a load more than regulated value is applied thereto is attached to the oscillating reduction gear 1.
