To provide a hollow-woven base fabric for air bag which can improve the process workability from the base fabric step to the final step for putting the air bag into the handle of a car and has a sign mark causing no adverse effect on the performance of the air bag and provide an air bag therefrom.

A plurality of cloths are linked to each other by double weaving whereby the objective air bag hollow-woven base fabric is obtained. In this case a mark for increasing the workability in the air bag production is woven on a non-expanding part in the bag, when the airbag operates. This double woven air bag base fabric having the woven mark is used to produce air bags.
