Abstract:
To compatibly suppress abnormal combustion and improve fuel consumption performance in a high-load region.SOLUTION: A control device in this invention is applied to an engine which enables premixed compression ignition combustion to combust fuel injected from an injector with self-ignition while mixing it with air. During operation in a low-speed and high-load region as part on a low-speed side in a high-load region where an engine load is high, the injector 15 is allowed to execute front-stage injection Fa and rear-stage injection Fb and an injection timing for the rear-stage injection Fb is set as the second half of a compression stroke. In the low-speed and high-load region, an injection timing for the rear-stage injection Fb when the engine speed is high is made later than an injection timing for the rear-stage injection Fb when the engine speed is low, and an injection amount ratio of the rear-stage injection Fb when the engine speed is high is made smaller than the injection amount ratio of the rear-stage injection Fb when the engine speed is low.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
