Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of a honeycomb structure which has light weight and high strength and can be produced at high speed and at low cost.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a honeycomb structure, slits 21 and 22 are formed on a sheet of a metal plate, the metal plate is folded, and a plurality of hexagonal cylinders 61 and 62 are formed into a honeycomb shape. The slits 21 and 22 are formed in parallel and alternately so that the hexagonal cylinders 61 and 62 and connection sections 41 and 42 for connecting the hexagonal cylinders to each other are formed on the metal plate. Ridge-folding and valley-folding are repeated so that the connection sections 41 and 42 alternately connect one side and the other side at opening ends of the hexagonal cylinders 61 and 62. Bent inner diameters R in the connection sections 41 and 42 are made a plate thickness or more. In bent molding, bending is performed in a state of no negative angle and no buckling.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
