In a horizontal rotary compressor using the coolant, which is mainly composed of HFC used for refrigerator or the like, and using the naphthene group mineral oil at a low viscosity as an oil, a coil spring 17 is housed, and while an oil pipe 18, of which one end is fixed to a central part of an end surface of a discharge cover 16 and of which the other end is opened in the oil, is provided so as to form an oil feed pump. A plating layer at a high hardness such as Ni plating 19 is performed to the inner surface of the oil pipe 18, and the hardness thereof is set at Hv 450-600. Even in the case where the coil spring 17 is made to pressure-contact with the inner surface of the oil pipe 18 by the bounce of the coil spring 17 itself, since the Ni plating is performed to the inner surface of the oil pipe 18, hardness of the inner surface of the oil pipe 18 is equal to the hardness of the coil spring so as to lower the abrasion of the inner surface of the oil pipe 18.
