Abstract:
To provide a low viscous pigment ink composition for an ink jet printer in which both highly reliable quality of printing and high weather resis tance are realized.
As a hot melt type pigment ink composition for an ink jet where the solid ink composition which is solid at room temperature is liquefied by heating and then given some jetting energy to jet ink droplets on a recording medium and form recording dots, the following components are used: 0.1-3.0 wt.% of each pigment belonging to pigment yellow 93, pigment red 122, pigment blue 15:4 and pigment black 7 of color index; and a component as a vehicle having the melt viscosity of no more than 20 mPa.s at 130°C and the surface tension of 18-28 mNm/m.
