Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, in order to prevent breakage of a heat insulating material due to vibration of a water heat exchanger in transportation, the heat insulating material needs to be made of a material having sufficient strength or the material thickness needs to be sufficiently thick, and this costs a lot.SOLUTION: A hot water storage type water heater includes: a hot water storage tank 3 for storing hot water; a water heat exchanger 19 in which a heat exchange tube 19a for performing heat exchange between the hot water in the hot water storage tank 3 and an external fluid is wound around in a spiral manner; and a heat exchange heat insulating material 53 for accommodating the water heat exchanger 19. In the heat exchange heat insulating material 53, a protrusion part 53d is provided at a position corresponding to a hollow part in the center of the spiral-shaped water heat exchanger 19 at the accommodation time of the water heat exchanger 19, and an outer dimension of the protrusion part 53d has the size which is a little smaller than an inner dimension of the spiral of the water heat exchanger 19.
