The housing information managing system 12 for storing variant data related to buildings has a housing information managing DB 21 provided with a data block for storing data related to a building and it stores a design drawing received from a first client machine 16 in the data block. The system 12 is provided with a member/building material data generating/managing part 26 extracting a member or a building material used per portion on the basis of the design drawing and storing the related data in the data block of the DB 21, and a detailed design drawing preparing/managing part 24 generating detailed design data including structural design on the basis of the design drawing or the data indicating the extracted member or building material and storing it in the data block. In regard to the member or building material needing pre-cutting, necessary data are transmitted to a second client machine 18. If there is a correction in regard to the member or building material, data indicating the correction are received and the data indicating the member or building material and the detailed design data are updated on the basis of the data indicating the correction.
