To provide a heat storage type alternating combustion furnace for completing treatment for exhausting high temperature furnace gas from a furnace body through heat storage chambers in a short time, and to provide a metal deposition preventing method.
The heat storage type alternating combustion furnace comprises the heat storage chambers each storing a heat storage material and provided in a pair of burners, air supply blowers connected to the heat storage chambers in both burners via air supply pipes each having an air supply on-off valve, and air exhaust blowers connected to the heat storage chambers in both burners via air exhaust pipes each having an air exhaust on-off valve. The opening/closing of the air supply on-off valve and the air exhaust on-off valve is selected when collecting exhaust heat in the heat storage chamber in the other burner during the combustion of one burner. After stopping combustion operation, the burner and the air supply blower are stopped, the air supply on-off valve is closed and a furnace door is semi-opened, and then both air exhaust on-off valves are opened and the air exhaust blower is operated to exhaust high temperature furnace gas from the furnace body through the heat storage chambers in both burners at the same time, thus increasing the temperature of the heat storage materials to the subliming temperature of the deposited materials or higher.
