Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover valuable metals contained in waste, such as municipal waste incineration ash and sludge, at a low cost.SOLUTION: In a method for recovering valuable metals from a cement production process having a cooling tower 22 for cooling the whole amount of combustion gas discharged from a cement firing furnace 21, a raw material RM comprising chlorine bypass dust D5 is supplied to the cement firing furnace 21, dust D6-D8 contained in exhaust gas G5 of the cooling tower 22 is recovered, and the recovered dust is washed with water to recover dust containing gold and/or silver. The chlorine bypass dust D5 may be dust recovered from extraction gas G1 extracted from a kiln exhaust gas passage from a kiln tail to a lowermost cyclone of a cement kiln 11 having a preheater cyclone while cooling a part of the combustion gas. The chlorine bypass dust D5 can be supplied to the cement firing furnace 21 after being subjected to water washing, acid washing, flotation, or HMX processing.
