To provide a solar battery, having excellent appearance and improved power generating efficiency, and to provide the selecting method of the same.

The solar battery is constituted of cells for the solar battery, which are sealed between a front surface side transparent protective member and a rear surface side protective member through sealing films containing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. In this case, the front surface side sealing film, arranged between the front surface side transparent protective member and the cells for the solar battery, is a transparent film produced by curing a composition for the front surface side sealing film containing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer while the rear surface side sealing film arranged between the rear surface side protective member and the cells for the solar battery is a cured film of the composition for the rear surface side sealing film which contains ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer together with white inorganic pigment and which is a white film whose whiteness index based on the B-system of JIS-P-8148 is within the range of 87.0-93.0%.
