Abstract:
To provide a hub unit for an in-wheel motor, which can fix a power transmission member in an outer ring without using any bolts and in which the raceway surface of the outer ring is hard to deform.
In a flange portion 40 of a power transmission member 8, there is formed a cylindrical portion 50, which is fixed in the state having an interference at the end portion of the inner circumference of an outer ring 2 on the wheel side in the axial direction. The maximum radial thickness of the cylindrical portion 50 in the outer ring 2 is set at or less than 1/3 of the minimum radial thickness of the portion, in which the cylindrical portion 50 overlaps in the radial direction, of the cylindrical portion 50.
