Abstract:

To obtain the subject receptor having a preserved 7-times transmembrane residue and useful for the treatment of infectious diseases such as infectious diseases caused by HIV-1 and HIV-2, a pain, a cancer, an anorexia, a limosis, an asthma, a Parkinsonian disease, an acute cardiac failure, etc.

This 7-times transmembrane receptor is a polypeptide having at least 70% homology with an amino acid sequence of the formula, and called as human 7-times transmembrane type receptor 'HBMBU14'. The receptor is obtained by culturing a host cell transformed by a vector containing an isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding the above polypeptide capable of being expressed by a human cDNA contained in ATCC deposit number 98226.
