Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a human antibody which tends not to be immunogenic in human treatment and in vivo diagnosis.
An isolated fully human antibody against a specific antigen is prepared by administering the antigen to a transgenic animal which is modified so as to produce the antibody in response to antigenic challenge, but whose endogenous gene loci are disabled. Various subsequent manipulations can be performed to obtain either the antibody per se or an analog thereof.
