Title:
HUMAN GENE, CDC28-#3 CAPABLE OF CODING HELICASE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10327866
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain the subject new gene, comprising a gene capable of coding a protein, having a specific amino acid sequence and capable of manifesting helicase activities and useful for the elucidation of the relation to the human homeostasis and cell aging and the elucidation of the nesogenesis and treatment, etc., of diseases associated with the growth and aging.

This new gene is capable of coding a protein containing an amino acid sequence represented by the formula or a sequence in which several amino acids are deleted, substituted or added in the amino acid sequence and capable of manifesting helicase activities and is useful as a research reagent for the elucidation of the relation to the maintenance of human homeostasis and cell aging and a reagent for the elucidation of the nesogenesis of diseases caused by the growth and aging, a therapeutic agent, a diagnostic probe, etc., for the diseases. The gene is obtained by preparing a cDNA library from an mRNA derived from a human spermary, the placenta or the spleen and screening the resultant library with a probe composed of a helicase gene fragment prepared by a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reactional(RT-PCR) method.
