Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle control system capable of stopping engine operation in response to a command from an HV controller if an abnormality power of an engine becomes excessive occurs to a hybrid vehicle (HV) and a communication between an engine controller and the HV controller is abnormal at least in one direction.SOLUTION: To operate an engine 11, it is required to supply operating electric power from an auxiliary battery 46 to a fuel injection valve 12 via a specific power path Pi. A first relay 51 opened/closed in response to a command from an engine controller 10 and a second relay 52 opened/closed in response to a command from an HV controller 40 are connected in series to the specific power path Pi. The HV controller 40 determines that an output of the engine 11 is excessive, and transmits a command to shut off the second relay 52 if a torque command value of a first MG 32 functioning mainly as a power generator is equal to an upper limit value and a rotational speed of the first MG 32 rises.
