Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid gas generator used in a safety device of an automobile for inflating an airbag.
SOLUTION: The hybrid gas generator comprises a flexible element, in which gunpowder is stored, with an upstream end part and a downstream end part, a reservoir of pressurized gas with an upstream end part and a downstream end part, and an electric spark type ignitor stored in a body near the upstream end part of the flexible element and the downstream end part of the reservoir. The electric spark type ignitor starts the combustion of the gunpowder stored in the flexible element during the operation and can emit the pressurized gas stored in the reservoir.
