To provide a hybrid type fork lift having excellent energy efficiency while realizing taking out of large power.
When an engine 1 is operated, power of the engine 1 is divided to a traveling motor 3 and a cargo handling motor 4 by a power dividing mechanism 2 and is output and corresponding loads 5 and 6 are driven through rotation shafts of the respective motors 3 and 4. Further, the engine 1 is operated and electric power is fed from a battery 7 to the respective motors 3 and 4 to operate them, thereby, the respective loads 5 and 6 can be also driven by total power of the corresponding motors 3 and 4 and the engine 1. Further, when excessive power is generated on the power of the engine 1, the respective motors 3 and 4 are operated by the excessive power as a generation means and the battery 7 is charged.
