To provide a hybrid type fork lift having excellent energy efficiency while realizing taking out of large power.
When an engine 1 is operated, power of the engine 1 is output to a first output shaft 1a and a second output shaft 1b respectively, traveling load 4 is driven by the power of the engine 1 output to the first output shaft 1a and cargo handling load 6 is driven by the power of the engine 1 output to the second output shaft 1b. Further, the engine 1 is operated and electric power is fed to a cargo handling motor 5 by a battery 8 to operate it, thereby, the cargo handling load 6 can be also driven by the total power of the engine 1 and the cargo handling motor 5. Further, when excessive power is generated on the power of the engine 1 output to the second output shaft 1b, the cargo handling motor 5 is operated by the excessive power as a power generation means to generate power and the battery 8 is charged.
