To provide an engine reverse rotation preventing control device of a hybrid vehicle, improving durability reliability of an engine by preventing reverse rotation of an engine whether roll back occurs or not in stopping an engine to stop the vehicle.
A hybrid vehicle including a driving force synthesized transmission TM is provided with a differential gear in which four or more input/output elements are arranged on an alignment chart. The input from the engine E is assigned to one of two elements arranged on the inside among the input/output elements, the output shaft OUT to a riving system is assigned to the other thereof, and a first motor generator MG1 and a second motor generator MG2 are connected to two elements arranged on both outer sides of the inside element, respectively. An engine clutch EC is provided between the engine E and the element of the differential gear to which the engine E is assigned, and a vehicle sensor 8 is provided to detect the vehicle speed VSP, whereby when the vehicle is stopped by stopping the engine E, the engine clutch EC is disengaged.
