Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a situation where inverter-less travel control cannot be continued.SOLUTION: A vehicle includes: an engine; an MG (motor-generator) 1; an MG 2; a planetary gear mechanism for interconnecting the aforementioned components; a battery; an inverter for converting power between the battery and MG 1, MG 2; and a control device. The MG 1, being rotated by the engine, generates counter-active torque. The control device performs: executing inverter-less travel control in which to put the inverter in a gate shut-off state and drive the engine so that the MG 1 generates counter-active torque in a case where the inverter is abnormal; and inhibiting intermittent stopping of the engine under the inverter-less travel control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
