Abstract:
To achieve both acceleration feeling and quietness when acceleration is required.SOLUTION: In a hybrid vehicle, when acceleration is requested, an acceleration feeling improvement control is performed in which an engine and a motor are controlled such that a number of rotations of the engine increases from an initial number of rotations that is lower than a number of rotations required for efficient output of a travel request power required for the vehicle from the engine. In the acceleration feeling improvement control, when the initial number of rotations is less than a threshold value, the rate of increase when the number of rotations of the engine increases is set smaller than when the initial number of rotations is equal to or more than the threshold value. As a result, when acceleration is requested, both acceleration feeling and quietness are achieved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
