Abstract:

To satisfactorily reduce a shock without impairing a belt life or fuel consumption by controlling an engagement transient oil pressure while preventing the belt slip in the operation failure of a garage shift valve and normally within a range never causing the belt slip when performing the transient oil pressure control of a forward clutch and the nipping pressure control of the belt in garage shifting by use of a common linear solenoid valve.

When the garage shift valve 114 for switching garage shift oil pressure PG and modulator oil pressure PM cannot be switched to ON state because of operation failure in the engagement of the forward clutch C1 in garage shifting (N to D shifting), the control of the linear solenoid valve SLT is corrected so that the belt nipping pressure adjusted by a nipping pressure control valve 110 is larger than usual in the process of executing the control of the garage shift oil pressure PG by the linear solenoid valve SLT.
