A liquid pressure control system is composed of a liquid pressure pump 1 of variable capacity type, a control valve 2 to change the pump capacity, a flow rate sensor 10 to sense the discharged rate of flow corresponding to the capacity, a pressure converter 4 to sense the discharge pressure of the pump 1 through the load capacity 3, and a control device 15. The control device 15 determines a deviational signal of the sensed pressure value from a specified command value, emits the result from the first subtractor 6, performs the calculation for pressure control compensation using a pressure control compensating circuit 7, feeds the obtained value to the second subtractor 9, prepares a signal formed by subtracting from it a rate-of-flow signal converted according to the non-proportional function by a converting means 16 upon being sensed by the sensor 10, and gives it to the control valve 2 as the control signal.
