Abstract:
To provide a hydraulic power unit capable of being improved for self-starting of a lift turbine, and floated on the water in a more stable state.
The hydraulic power unit 10 is comprised of a turbine 11 arranged in the water, and an upper part structure 12 provided over the turbine 11 floating on the water and having an A.C. generator G with a conventional structure. The turbine 11 is provided with the lift turbine 15 driving with a stream near the water surface, and a drag turbine 16 starting the lift turbine 15. An impeller 25 of the drag turbine 16 rotates in reverse direction with respect to the impeller 25 of the lift turbine 15.
