To easily handle a hydrogen gas filling device by filling the hydrogen gas through a connecting means provided on a hydrogen gas storage alloy container when the hydrogen gas pressurized through heating is filled in a hydrogen gas cylinder.
The hydrogen gas generated in a hydrogen gas generation part 1 enters a water content removal part 8 through a hydrogen gas feed pipe 7, and the water content in the hydrogen gas is completely removed. The dried hydrogen gas is carried to a hydrogen storage alloy container 15 by a hydrogen gas feed pipe 14 through a valve 13. When the hydrogen gas is sufficiently occluded in the hydrogen storage alloy container 15, the valve 13 is closed, and the hydrogen storage alloy container 15 is heated by a heater 16. The pressure of the hydrogen gas in the hydrogen storage alloy container 15 is increased through the heating. When the balanced hydrogen gas pressure in the hydrogen storage alloy container 15 reaches the prescribed value, the valve 17 is opened, and the hydrogen gas is filled in a hydrogen gas cylinder 19 making use of the hydrogen storage alloy connected to a connection part 18. The connection part 18 is preferably of valve structure which is closed in separation in order to prevent the air from being mixed.
