Abstract:
Provided is a novel hydrogen production method whereby it is possible to efficiently generate hydrogen gas even in an atmosphere in which oxygen gas is present, and wherein it also is not necessary to disperse a photocatalyst material through agitation or the like. The hydrogen production method is provided with a step for irradiating, with light, a photocatalyst material that is immersed in an aqueous solution comprising a sacrificial reagent and that does not include particles which have a quartz-equivalent settling diameter of 40 μm or smaller.
