Abstract:
To provide a hydrogen storage alloy that allows a hydrogen storage reaction to proceed at relatively low temperature and relatively low hydrogen pressure, and boasts the repeated durability of the storage and release of hydrogen.SOLUTION: A hydrogen storage alloy is represented by the chemical formula Ti1+α(Fe0.8-yMn0.2Xy)1-α (0≤α≤0.04, 0.02≤y≤0.04, and X is at least one of Nb, Hf, and Zr). Examples of such a hydrogen storage alloy include TiFe0.78Mn0.2Hf0.02, TiFe0.78Mn0.2Zr0.02, and TiFe0.78Mn0.2Nb0.02.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
