Abstract:
To provide a process using no organic solvent for refining nickel existing in a high-concentration hydrochloric acid solution in order to improve safety of an operator using the organic solvent and to reduce an environmental load although the transition metals except nickel has been separated by the liquid-liquid extraction method using the above solvent.SOLUTION: Nickel and transition metals except nickel existing in a high-concentration hydrochloric acid solution have the chemical forms of cation in nickel, and chloro complex anion in transition metals except nickel, respectively. In order to adsorb the chloro complex of transition metals except nickel in the high-concentration hydrochloric acid solution, a hydrophobic anion exchange fiber having a long-chain alkyl tertiary amine in a side chain is provided. The adsorbed metals are eluted by water to be reused.SELECTED DRAWING: None
