Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrostatic fluid bearing in which an angular rigidity can be improved by arranging a slot restrictor not only on a circumference but also in an axial direction and its application can be assured under environment where unbalanced load may act substantially, provide a practical and economical structure of a hydrostatic fluid bearing in which the slot restrictor can also be arranged in an axial direction and provide both material and a slot restrictor outlet shape for reducing damage caused by contact under a high speed rotation.SOLUTION: There is provided a hydrostatic fluid bearing 1 comprising a bearing surface 5 arranged between a shaft 2 and a housing and oppositely facing against the shaft through a bearing clearance 4 and a plurality of slot restrictors each of which is opened at the bearing surface and arranged around a rotating axis line of the shaft, pressurized fluid is guided to the bearing clearance through the slot restrictors so as to rotate and support the shaft under no-contacted state. There are arranged entire cylindrical groove-shaped restrictors 6 extending in an axial direction of the shaft.
