A composition including a copolymer having a furanone combined with a hydroxamate, a product formed/coated with the copolymer or the composition, and methods for producing the composition and product are provided. In one embodiment, the composition comprises a first component including at least one phospholipid having at least one vinyl group, a second component including a furanone having vinyl and/or acrylate groups, and a third component including a hydroxamate. Compositions, medical devices, and coatings including copolymers and blends of the above components are also provided.
