PURPOSE: To provide an electronic part holding tray so improved as to permit an accurate positioning of the electronic part and the use of a collet of the type out of contact with the surface of the electronic part.

CONSTITUTION: A die tray 10 is provided with a bottom plate 12 having the mounting surfaces 20 for electronic parts C formed thereon and a framework 14 mounted on the bottom plate and having grid-like lattices forming a plurality of pockets 30 for receiving the electronic parts. The bottom plate and the frame are separately formed and made vertically separable and each of lattice members 16 forming the framework is provided at each side with a taper surface 18 for gradually enlarging the pocket 30 toward the upper end. The space between the opposite taper surfaces is made smaller than the exterior dimension of the electronic part at the lower part of the lattice member and larger at the upper part thereof.
