Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the title compsn. which causes neither the formation of spitting nor the marring of the coated surface due to wax floating during use, by adding a specified wax floating inhibitor to a wax-contg. topcoating compsn. for roll coaters. CONSTITUTION:10-500wt% (based on the amount of wax) wax floating inhibitor (A) composed of inorg. or org. fine particles having an average particle size of 0.01-10mu selected from the group consisting of fine silica powder (a) having an average particle size of 0.1-1mu, fine bentonite particles (h) having an average particle size of 0.1-3mu, precipitated fine calicium carbonate powder (c) having an average particle size of 0.02-1mu and crosslinked resin particles (d) having an average a particle size of 0.01-10mu obtd. by polymerizing an alpha,beta-ethylenically unsaturated monomer, is added to a wax-contg. topcoating compsn. for roll coaters, which has a yield value of less than 1 and is prepd. by adding polyolefin, paraffin or mineral wax (B) as a slip agent to a resin (C). The resulting compsn. is adjusted so that the yield value is increased by at least 0.5, thus obtaining the title compsn.
