Abstract:
PURPOSE:To carry out an efficient treatment of waste oil without complicated handling by using a specified microorganism, etc., and solidifying liquid or semisolid waste oil. CONSTITUTION:Waste oil is treated with a microorganism such as Pseudomonas sp. and/or an enzyme capable of converting an unsaturated fatty acid and/or its glyceride to a saturated and/or oxidized-fan fatty acid. In addition, a waste oil-treating agent is obtained from the microorganism and/or enzyme.
