Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the title new copolymer of low foamability, excellent in dispersibility. CONSTITUTION:The double bond region in a maleic acid derivative- dicyclopentadiene copolymer is either hydrated or put to diol modification to effect introduction of hydroxyl groups into the copolymer, thus obtaining the objective new copolymer reduced in foamability with high dispersibility, which is, because of excellent dispersibility and low foamability, is effective as a dispersant for various inorganic substances.
